Journey from iOS to Android.

Story of my Switch:

I always admire Apple products,i cannot get tired appreciating its Hardware for the superb build quality & looks and yes Apples Operating system has always been a pleasure to work with whether it's Mac OS X or IOS(iphone operating system) so its like i have always been contented with every Apple product i have ever used.

I have been using the iPhone for a long time and it makes sense because it was love at first sight.Even when Android phones started appearing in the market. I stuck with the iphone because they simply were not worth it.Even the iphones earlier version  like 2g or 3g were way better than those Android phones but things were turning out to be diffrent the change was indeed there when bigger platforms like Google came in the scene and when Android 4.0(Ice cream Sandwich) was launched  i was really surprised and it was no doubt full filling all the conditions of a good great Smart phone for Apple probably the focus was on keeping user interface and hardware consitent throughout while adding more and more features for better user experience we all know Apple must have had a good reason to do that but what i wanted was a change

.
I  had two options with me  iphone 5 for a slight change or  a big switch to Android and since there were alot of good Android phones available i finally decided to go for it and so i bought one.I loved the look and feel of stock android so i got a Nexus phone more specifically Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The best thing about Nexus phones is that they run Android in pure form unlike the skinned version that manufacturers ship on their phones  like(sense in HTC,Touch Wiz in samsung etc).I have used android phones for reveiwing particular features of OS but never owned one.

It took me long time to get used to it as it was something non-iPhonish, it does feel diffrent and alienatic as my iPhone had a 4 inch screen but this 4.7 inch screen looks alot bigger and iPhone does look smaller i guess this is what Android users boast about.I dont know its my fault or what but i was so used  unified settings interface in Iphone that i could not understand why every single app on Android has its own settings,it gets quite confusing at times there are som many minor things that feel odd and i know i feel that these were valuable features of iOS that i simply didn't care about , as to me Apple pays alot of attention to detail in everything it makes.

But The good part of Android does exists,i found something that impressed me the most Google play , i already knew about it but never used it in person and yes it was a tottaly different experience..! imagine never having to pick up your phone installing apps  thats so awsome apart from that the degree of customisation is unbeleiveable i can totally change the look of my phone based on my liking or if i get bored of the OS, or if the phone becomes too obsolete for the latest version of Android i can simply flash a new ROM.

Possibilities are unlimted here..!
so far, so good i am starting to like it  for the flexibility and openness. At the same time  i am missing the perfection and intutive interface of iPhone and iOS. Don't get wrong i was an Apple fan and switched to Android;loving it though but that doesn't make me a fandroid or an Apple hater either. Each platform has its own pro's and con's no single product can be the best.I love every piece of technology that manages to impress me.Let's see how long i manage to stick to Android ,and when my next Phone upgrade will take place. Will it be a windows phone, a blackberry, or an iPhone?
Only time will tell....

The new Qmobile android quad-core lineup. Should you buy it?

We all know that Qmobile's business has been in full swing since day one. To add to its large profits. It has now started selling quad-core android phones. They have released six phone to date and have more coming. Question is which one should you buy? Or should you even buy it at all?

Here are some brief specs to help you in your decision:

        Pixel Density:   318             318                275              294               240               218

*3g support is not available in Pakistan yet.
**All phones have the same GPU (graphics)
***above is not 100% accurate.

Now, to the next question:

When buying a smartphone, you should consider everything.
From the build to the chip.

The prices are cheap. So you should probably go with one that suits your needs. The Noir a700 would not be handy with its large display. And 512 mb ram in the Noir A500 may not be sufficient. Assess the consequesnces and go for it.

Why not to buy it?

Remember this is Qmobile. They simply copy chinese designs. However they have very good support and their phones have a year of warranty. Also, there won't be much support for custom roms etc. and one last thing. After a few months their prices will drop by 50-60%.

There have been a few water proof handsets in the market  ,back then we have seen Nokia 5140i and now Smart phones are also launched with this feature. The new Sony Xperia-Z has gained much reputation.

Well the market competetor Samsung has also produced one such handset Galaxy S-4 active.
These  two are not the only ones, Motorola Defy has also been there with its water proofing feature and Scratch resistant screen.
